Defensive Stocks, Offensive Prices

It is a growing refrain among investment experts. Traditional defensive stocks in the consumer staples space have become exceedingly expensive. This includes many of the companies found in the household products and food industries. But exactly how expensive are these stocks today? And what implications, if any, do these premium valuations have for those who own these companies and their attractive dividend yields?
