Election Day in the United States is nearly upon us. In just five days, voters across the country will descend on their polling places to cast their votes for the next President of the United States. The outcome should help remove an issue that has been a meaningful source of uncertainty for financial markets over the past many months. But if recent history is any guide, the passing of the election may also bring a period of buyer’s remorse for investors as they grapple to digest the implications resulting from the final outcome.
