Eric B. Parnell, CFA

img_0017_3Eric Parnell is the Founder and Director of Gerring Capital Partners.  Eric founded the firm in 2005 to provide high quality investment research and advisory solutions for selected clients at a low cost.

Eric holds a variety of distinctions including the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.  He also holds an M.S. in Finance with a concentration in Investment Management from Drexel University’s Bennett S. LeBow College of Business.  Eric also graduated magna cum laude from Dickinson College with a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.A. in Economics.  He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Eric is widely seen in the media including appearances on CNBC, CNN, NPR’s Marketplace, KYW Newsradio and Money Matters TV.  He is also a regular contributor to Seeking Alpha and has also had articles published in CFA Magazine and on Minyanville.  Eric has also been seen on MarketWatch, Barron’s, The Big Picture, Real Clear Markets and Morningstar.

In addition to his work with Gerring Capital Partners, Eric serves as a Visiting Instructor in the Department of Business and Economics at Ursinus College.  He  previously served for nearly a decade as a Professor in the Department of Economics and Finance at West Chester University.  He was a multi-year recipient of Outstanding Faculty Honors during his service at WCU.

Prior to founding Gerring Capital Partners, Eric was the Director of Investment Communications at SEI Investments, the world’s largest institutional investment firm.  He also served as an Economist at Moody’s Analytics and as a Research Associate for Economists Incorporated in Washington, DC.
