It is an assumption that is commonly made by stock market bulls. If you’re not bullish and fully invested in the stock market, you must have been squirreled away in a bunker for the past decade with your assets hiding out in cash. And if you are adjusting to the risks associated with today’s market environment by not being fully invested in stocks, you are continuing to sacrifice the additional upside that stocks apparently want to keep giving you. But the capital market universe does not consist of stocks alone. But what exactly is involved in currency hedged international investing? And does making a shift to a currency hedged allocation within international strategies make sense in the current environment?
